Responsibilities
Inspect incoming raw materials, components, equipment tools, and products using appropriate tools, gauges, and documentation
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards for inspection criteria
Use measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMMs
Record and report inspection results accurately in quality databases or ERP systems
Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCMRs) for deviations and coordinate with the QA team for disposition
Collaborate with Purchasing and Supplier Quality to resolve material quality issues
Maintain inspection documentation and ensure traceability of materials
Provide mentoring and guidance to junior inspectors and help in training new team members
Maintain trained status for, and comply with, all relevant aspects of the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality Management System to ensure product and support regulatory compliance
Updates job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in quality management; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
Understand and adhere to the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality and EHS policies
Qualification
Required
5+ years of industry experience
Basic knowledge of ISO 13485:2016
Ability to interpret CAD drawings
Experience using measurement instruments– CMM, OMM, surface plate setups, calipers, micrometers, profilometer, vision equipment and other tools
Ability to use Microsoft Excel to perform basic operations and data reporting
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
