Ascension is seeking a Senior Data Analyst for the Quality and Patient Safety team within the Ascension Data Science Institute (ADSI). This role will support Patient Safety and other clinical reporting by creating and delivering data visualization products, assisting with data wrangling, and managing ad hoc clinical data requests.

Responsibilities

Serves as key resource/SME in collection and analysis of data from multiple sources for the development of reports and statistical information
Compiles analytical and statistical reports as needed
Formulates, defines and recommends scope and format of reports
Provides leadership, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff on how to access reports and interpret data
Identifies data trends and makes recommendations for quality improvement
Parses, validates and scrubs data of widely differing formats
Analyzes structured and unstructured data for business insight
Self-directed project management skills based on stakeholder direction

Required

Experience with Google BigQuery
Proficiency in SQL
Experience with Tableau
Ability to assist with data wrangling
Experience managing ad hoc clinical data requests
Ability to serve as a key resource/SME in collection and analysis of data from multiple sources
Experience compiling analytical and statistical reports
Ability to formulate, define and recommend scope and format of reports
Experience providing leadership, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff
Ability to identify data trends and make recommendations for quality improvement
