Responsibilities
Perform experiments related to the development of formulations for therapeutic proteins, including stability testing and analytical characterization
Join a team of investigators using a variety of biochemical and biophysical techniques
Involved in the design and execution of experiments
Detailed record keeping in electronic laboratory notebooks
Data collection, analysis, and interpretation of experimental data and presentation
Qualification
Required
Masters degree OR Bachelors degree and 2 years of experience OR Associate's degree and 4 years of experience OR High school diploma / GED and 6 years of experience
1+ year of industry or 2+ academia experience in a lab setting with pipetting, sample prep & handling, HPLC chromatography, and protein sample analysis
At least 1-year lab experience
BS (or equivalent) degree in pharmaceutics, biochemistry, chemistry, biology or related life sciences discipline
A strong understanding of protein biochemistry and protein structure
Significant experience with basic laboratory skills and biophysical techniques related to protein analysis
A background in protein solution manipulation (e.g. pipetting, dialysis, concentration) and HPLC analysis
Detailed record keeping in electronic laboratory notebooks
Data collection, analysis, and interpretation of experimental data and presentation
Motivated, good problem-solving skills, and an aptitude to learn and implement new techniques/skills
Well organized and proficient in detailed record-keeping
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft office (word, excel, PowerPoint)
Capable of working efficiently in teams and independently
Preferred
Experience with visible and sub-visible particle analysis and other analytical methods (e.g. capillary electrophoresis, SEC, CEX, etc.)
Fundamental understanding of protein chemistry, formulation, and biophysical characterization
MS (or equivalent) in pharmaceutics, biochemistry, chemistry, biology or related life sciences discipline
