Senior Director, Marketing Strategy and Operations

Responsibilities
Drives long-term strategic direction, governance, and execution framework for marketing operations and insights across the organization
Champions integration and collaboration across departments to architect growth, partnerships, and cohesive execution of strategic initiatives
Leads adoption of AI-powered tools and automation in marketing workflows, enhancing campaign optimization, personalization, lead scoring, and analytics
Serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, developing integrated marketing and business strategies aligned to school-wide priorities
Partners with the CMO to shape departmental strategy, structure, budget stewardship, operational effectiveness, and performance measurement
Represents and advocates for the marketing organization globally, influencing decision-making with diverse stakeholder groups across campuses and programs
Oversees development, and integration of advanced data infrastructure and analytics frameworks in partnership with IT, data governance leaders, and a network of data stewards and professionals across the school
Directs research and strategic insights initiatives, managing analytics, rankings, surveys, faculty research, and business intelligence programs
Provides strategic direction for dashboards and predictive modeling, empowering leadership with real-time insights and key performance metrics
Drives innovation and operational excellence by standardizing processes, ensuring scalability, compliance, risk mitigation, and sustaining high performance
Develops departmental priorities and allocates resources and determines project direction in line with established priorities
Provides leadership and supervision to staff, usually other senior managers and/or managers, including selection and development of staff
Performs other related work as needed
Qualification
Required
Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field
Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 10+ years of work experience in a related job discipline

MBA or a similar master's degree
Expertise in marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and performance analytics
Extensive experience with predictive analytics, statistical programming (SAS, Stata, R, Python, SQL), and survey research methods
Advanced proficiency in data mining, manipulation, and visualization using tools such as Excel, Python, SQL, Tableau, and Business Objects Web Intelligence
Working knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server), cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS), and command-line scripting
Experience connecting and transforming data systems into accessible assets for research and institutional strategy
Govern best practices for data capture, reporting, documentation, and ensure regulatory compliance
Outstanding team and talent management skills, with a track record of coaching and professional development
Demonstrated ability to foster collaboration across functions and influence key stakeholders at all levels
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills; strong organizational and planning abilities with attention to detail
Exceptional client-facing and diplomatic communication skills, with a professional demeanor and customer service orientation
Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive change, innovate, and embrace continuous learning
Familiarity with business school environments and higher education markets
