Legal Assistant
GLP Attorneys is the largest personal injury law firm in Washington State, serving the Pacific Northwest. They are seeking a Legal Assistant to support attorneys in managing case loads and interacting with clients, while also handling administrative tasks essential to office operations.
Consulting
Responsibilities
Work closely with the Managing Partner and Attorney of the Wenatchee office to support the legal team and ensure cases are managed efficiently
Set up new client files, maintain case records, assist with PIP claims, and ensure account balances are accurate
Communicate regularly with clients, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other third parties
Manage medical bill payments and track related documentation
Handle client correspondence, respond to inquiries, and conduct client reviews
Welcome and assist clients, visitors, and vendors as the front desk point of contact
Answer and route phone calls and emails professionally and efficiently
Schedule appointments and manage referrals
Receive, review, organize, and distribute mail and incoming correspondence
Perform data entry, scanning, filing, and file closing tasks
Assist with the organization and cleanliness of shared office spaces, including the lobby, conference room, kitchen, and refrigerator. Assist with office events, programs, and special projects on an ad hoc basis
Perform additional administrative duties as assigned, including supporting client account management
Qualification
Required
High school diploma required; advanced education or paralegal certification preferred
Previous experience as a legal assistant or in a professional office setting is highly desired
Strong customer service skills with a positive, professional, can-do attitude
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Comfort communicating with clients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies by phone and email
Typing proficiency of at least 50 words per minute
Ability to proofread legal documents accurately
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Basic understanding of office equipment and clerical systems such as recordkeeping and filing
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment
Understanding of confidentiality requirements and professionalism in a legal setting
Preferred
Advanced education or paralegal certification
Prior experience in plaintiffs' personal injury law
Previous clerical or front desk experience
Bilingual (Spanish) speaking clients are strongly encouraged to apply
