Responsibilities
Own RF subsystems or products end to end: requirements → design → simulation → PCB → test → qualification → customer delivery
Design RF circuitry and RF chains across microwave bands
Perform RF simulations, modeling, and analysis
Own schematic capture and PCB layout in Altium Designer
Lead bring-up, debugging, and validation of RF PCBAs in the lab
Use RF test equipment (VNAs, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies)
Drive RF performance tradeoffs, schedules, and deliverables independently
Collaborate closely with software, DSP, mechanical, manufacturing, and supply chain teams
Contribute to the architecture of next-generation RF platforms, including radios, antennas, and full systems
Qualification
Required
Strong, hands-on ownership of RF circuitry and RF PCB design
Experience designing RF chains (not just antennas or simulations)
Proven experience taking RF hardware from concept through tested, working hardware
Comfort owning: Schematic capture, PCB layout, Fabrication and assembly, Bring-up, debugging, and test
Hands-on experience with RF lab and test equipment
Proficiency with RF simulation tools (ADS, HFSS, or similar)
BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Roughly 5+ years of relevant RF hardware experience (years are less important than demonstrated ownership and execution)
Experience with some or most of the following: LNAs, PAs, mixers, PLLs, oscillators, filters
RF performance metrics: S-parameters, P1dB, noise figure, EVM, channel power
RF cascade analysis, link budgets, noise analysis
Microwave RF across multiple bands
Preferred
Radiation-aware component selection
AD9361, Xilinx RFSoC, or similar RF/DSP interfaces
Board rework and fine-pitch soldering (0402, QFN)
DSP fundamentals and link modeling
Antenna design and measurement (plus, not a substitute)
High-PAPR signals and DPD concepts
