Responsibilities
Define and support sensor installation methods, including routing schemes and coordination with Component Centers for access, requirements, and installation on rotating and static hardware
Develop design models and layout drawings in collaboration with drafting support to fabricate hardware
Interface with multiple engineering disciplines to ensure design alignment and integration
Develop and implement design solutions that meet technical, safety, and program requirements
Communicate design definitions and results to internal stakeholders and Integrated Product Team (IPT) leaders
Coordinate design acceptance and document results through Design Substantiation Memos and layout drawings
Read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, engineering principles, test techniques, process flow, and instrumentation concepts
Qualification
Required
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and basic engineering documentation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
0–10 years of relevant experience with an appropriate technical skill set
Willingness to work a 2nd shift schedule
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience strongly preferred, or Associate's degree in a related technical field
Preferred
Sensor applications or instrumentation experience
Flight test or strain gage installation and wiring
Experience supporting gas turbine engine development
Co-op experience or senior design project exposure
