Responsibilities
Develop and implement new automation systems for production
Program PLC ladder logic and configure HMIs for process control
Create LabVIEW programs to monitor and control operations
Work with collaborative robotics platforms (e.g., Universal Robots)
Design tools, dies, equipment, CAD models, BOMs, and engineering drawings
Analyze operational data using Python, SQL, and MS Access
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation systems
Train production personnel on new processes and maintain safety standards
Support manufacturing processes through continuous improvement and innovation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field
~3 years' experience in automation, programming, mechanical design, or tooling
LabVIEW programming experience (certification is a plus)
PLC configuration and ladder logic programming experience
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (ASCII Serial, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA)
Proficiency in Python and SQL for data collection and analysis
Experience with 2D and 3D CAD/CAM (SolidWorks preferred)
Hands-on knowledge of industrial machinery (lathes, mills, presses)
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention to detail
