The individual in this role will provide quality administrative support to underwriters and agencies by rating and entering transactions into established systems for commercial lines, ensuring timely customer service and accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities
Works within standard operating procedures and established practices to provide timely customer service to underwriters and agencies
Rates and enters transactions for commercial lines business with a primary focus on operations
Acts as the starting point for the department’s transactions and quickly determines to which area the transaction should be directed
Keeps accurate and current records in designated systems that are accessible to others
Updates routine reports and assesses the information for clarity
Qualification
Required
Ability to proofread written and electronic documents to identify and correct errors
Intermediate Word and Excel skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to make independent business decisions when required
Ability to manage a heavy workflow of incoming transactions
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred
Previous insurance experience is preferred, but not required
Basic PointIn system and / or similar policy administrative system knowledge is preferred
Interest in continuing to grow and learn in the insurance industry is preferred
Coursework towards AINS certification is preferred
