Responsibilities
Design, develop, and modify many different elements of technology
Understand advanced methods, theories, and research techniques that establish ongoing direction and implementation of the technology vision and strategy
Lead implementations and provide viable recommendations for implementing new solutions
Provide instruction and guidance to less senior team members on new tasks and assignments, ensuring deadlines are met
Collaborate with other Engineers and recommend adjustments to the architecture to improve the overall quality and integration
Monitor key performance metrics to ensure compliance with established standards, processes, and procedures
Use technical knowledge of professional concepts to solve business problems
Evaluate elements of technology’s effectiveness through requirements gathering, testing, research, and investigation and make recommendations for improvements that result in increased quality and effectiveness
Listen to and evaluate customer needs to determine and provide high-quality solutions that align with customer expectations
Design, modify, and develop complex code independently, within or outside various teams using applicable technology
Mentor, drive standards, ensure code performance, contribute to code reviews, and perform unit and integration testing
Assist with the analysis and review of software requirements and testing of code
Qualification
Required
Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
Must reside in St. Louis, Missouri, or immediate surrounding area
3+ years of Java related development experience
2+ years of experience with frameworks such as Spring, & Hibernate
2+ years of experience working with SQL (Ex: Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, Dynamo DB, or Mongo DB)
Experience with JavaScript/Typescript
Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and/or similar tool
Experience with source control management (Bitbucket/GIT experience preferred)
Experience with middleware technologies like WebLogic and Tomcat
Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
Experience with Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Web Services SOAP and/or Rest
Experience with React JS
Experience with AWS
Experience with technologies XSLT and XPath
Experience with IaaS code tools such as Cloud Formation or Terraform
