Responsibilities
Performs construction tasks including, but not limited to:
Maintains an organized and stocked tool cart/bag. Requests for and/or replenishes materials and supplies as necessary
Maintains a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and wears protective equipment as required
Tracks assigned construction projects/tasks and ensures completion in a timely manner while adhering to operational standards. Communicates progress to project manager and/or supervisor
Proactively performs construction projects/tasks and identifies efficient methods to complete projects/tasks
Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at the direction of management
Coordinates and performs a range of department support activities; serves as a liaison between other divisions/departments
Provides administrative support such as answering inbound telephone calls, checking ship dates, offering information on all products, updating new account information and inputting call notes in GCM
Communicate with customers, colleagues, dental technicians, and managers in a prompt articulate manner
Complies with customer service policies and procedures and call center operational standards
Relies on extensive technical knowledge to make decisions and accomplish departmental goals
Assists customers in problem solving, planning, development, and execution of stated goals and objectives
Ensures customer retention and satisfaction
Evaluates each case thoroughly and advises doctors on which product is best for the particular case
Makes outbound calls on cases that need assistance
Maintains a day to day professional relationship with dental technicians and managers
Follows-up on specific requests made by doctors on particular cases
Seeks advice and input from the manager when needed
Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management
Provides support to customers through phone calls and emails. Ensures calls and emails are responded to within targeted service level timeframes. Contacts customers with updates via phone and email on status and problem resolution
Provides customer ordering processing support, including but not limited to researching, troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving level 1 customer technical support issues
Gathers support logs, files, images for escalation and triage to Level 2 and Level 3
Collects and relay technical information to team members and CTS Analysts as necessary
Assists team with tests, reviews, and evaluations of bugs and implementation of enhancements
Acts as the primary support contact for customer technical support for My Accounts, Glidewell Direct, Inclusive Dental, Glidewell.io, and Digital Order Processing
Supports external customers with resolution of issues related to company owned technologies and 3rd party CAD/CAM software
Logs all inbound and outbound activities (phone and email) into Zendesk ticketing system. Ensures support tickets and customers are updated regularly
Provides first point of contact (SPOC) support to customers; escalates issues to appropriate IT sub-departments, Customer Service, and/or Technical Advisors as required to resolve issues. Communicates with external customers’ IT departments to resolve problems when necessary
Tracks, troubleshoots, updates, escalates, and closes customer support cases as appropriate
Creates procedure manuals, end-user documentation, and Knowledge Base Articles
Utilizes remote desktop control tools to assist and resolve customer issues
Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management
Learns basic tooth morphology and anatomy
Learns to fabricate and repair dental prosthesis and dental appliances such as dentures, partials, crowns and bridges, inlay/onlay, veneers, and implant restorations
Learns to read and interpret dental prescriptions
Familiarizes self with wide range of materials, such as metal (precious, non-precious, gold) or not metal materials (porcelain, composite, acrylic, polyurethane, co-polyester, thermo plastic) and their use in fabricating dental restorations
Learns and practices restoring natural teeth and correcting dental irregularities by manufacturing fixed or removable appliances
Develops technical knowledge to make decisions when fabricating dental prosthesis
May learn basics of replacing partial or total loss of natural teeth by constructing partial or full dentures (metal and non-metal)
Familiarizes self with names and functions of various types of hand tools and equipment (electric drills, presses, lathes, high-heat furnaces, etc.)

Documents learning by completing quizzes and worksheets
Works under supervision of trainers and asks for assistance and/or clarification regarding technical issues

Utilizes scanner or computer to adjust and transfer items to other departments and people

Processes reoccurring and/or as-needed transfers, replenishment, and deliveries per each department’s request to avoid discrepancies and/or delays to manufacturing
Ensure FIFO (first in first out) processes are adhered to when stocking items
Segregates lot numbers when stocking items
Maintains organization with the warehouse by arranging and moving goods to designated locations
Checks and maintains equipment and tools to ensure good working conditions
Oversees incoming warehouse order requests; responds and executes order requests/deliveries in a timely manner. Maintains contact with requestor with updates and/or discrepancies
Utilizes Company trucks to deliver, transfer, and pick up products
Assists Fulfillment Clerks with pulling and organizing daily sales orders as needed
Provides recommendations for improvements in the department process flow
Assists with meal preparations according to established prep method and/or recipes
Assists with production of Grab & Go meals and preparation of catering services
Prepares and delivers prepared food items and/or catering items around campus locations
Unloads and stores incoming products
Washes pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and other cooking equipment as necessary
Stocks display and sales area
Performs front line meal service including grill cooking and cold food preparation
Operates cash register in order to compute bills; ensures accuracy of collection and disbursement money
Modifies and issues receipts to customers
Performs other related duties and projects as required by management
Sets up machines in accordance with job prints and specifications to very close tolerances
Produces basic precision items beyond the capabilities of production machine operators
Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders
Measures, examines, and tests completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications; utilizes precision instruments including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, bore gauge, depth micrometer, and other inspection equipment as needed
Sets up, adjusts, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools in order to perform precision machining operations
Aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines
Monitors the feed and speed of machines during the machining process
Studies sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products, and determine product dimensions and tolerances
Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work
Lays out, measures, and marks metal stock in order to display placement of cuts
Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs
Operates all common machine shop equipment and hand tools skillfully
Works from prints or drawings to produce a variety of items
Follows all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding
Follows all lock-out/tag-out procedures when machines must be shut down for repairs

Manufactures work orders in one (1) of the following areas: BruxZir Colloidal, BruxZir NOW, BruxZir Press, BruxZir Shade Guide, Composites, Injection Molding, and Obsidian
Obtains materials from storage locations as per work order requirements
Measures, pre-batches, and delivers all components to blending area; verifies quantity and ingredient lot numbers going into the batch and documents on Bill of Material sheets
Weighs powders and liquids using a scale to prepare batches. Adheres to formula instructions to make scheduled batches
Issues components to the work order. Reports production of work-in-progress (WIP) and/or finished goods using handheld mobile devices
Operates a variety of manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to: table top presses, hydraulic presses, CNC machines, CMM and vision measurement systems, mills, injection molding machines, furnaces, ovens, mixers, and surface grinders. Utilizes hand tools such as ultrasonic scanners, glue dispensers, micrometers
Inspect products to ensure quality requirements are met, may include but not limited to:
Completes accurate paperwork related to manufacturing process
Labels and packages products for shipment to inventory according to SOP’s
Conducts final inspection and verification of finished goods and manufacturing documentation to ensure conformance to customer specifications
Identifies and separates non-conforming products
Documents, records, and maintains all inspection and outgoing paperwork including completion and documentation of test and inspection results
Solves daily operations problems with limited supervision
Transports materials to next scheduled operation
Cleans, organizes, and maintains assigned work area per company 6S policy and standards
Completes daily job checklists and equipment checks/calibrations to maintain quality. Participates in 6S and kaizen activity as directed
Diagnoses, repairs, modifies, and optimizes HVAC systems, including refrigeration compressors, chillers, air handlers, cooling towers, air compressors, vacuum pumps, and exhaust systems
Performs advanced electrical maintenance on HVAC systems: motors, contactors, control panels, VFDs, BAS systems, sensors, and wiring
Develops, implements, and oversees preventive and predictive maintenance programs on critical systems including lab HVAC, data room cooling, medical storage refrigeration, and compressed air systems
Tests and examines boiler operations; observes meter and pressure gauges
Lubricates and packs heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air-conditioning motors, pumps, fans, and other equipment
Performs installation and calibration tasks such as installing copper tubing, repairing pipes and tubing, and insulating refrigeration and air conditioning pipes

Work closely with engineering and assemblers. Assists engineers in evaluation of incoming repairs not seen before and identifies necessary test equipment and parts to restore them to factory specifications. Provides feedback on special engineering tasks that require extensive mechanical knowledge
Performs soldering work including melting and applying solder to circuit boards or other metal components to fuse pieces together
Performs complex reworking of parts

Assists in the installation of mechanical components to meet drawing specifications using screws, dowel pins, retainer rings, etc

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education level
Minimum four (4) years of construction or related experience
General knowledge of office procedures
