Human Resources Team Lead
NEOGOV is seeking a Human Resources Team Lead for the Mississippi Department of Corrections. This supervisory role involves performing complex HR generalist duties, including recruitment, training, and employee relations, while acting as a liaison between divisions and overseeing employee supervision.

Responsibilities
Performing a variety of complex and difficult professional Human Resources generalist duties such as position classification, position management, recruitment, training, benefits, employee selection processes, and salary determination
Function as liaisons between internal divisions, departments, or sub-agencies, and executive staff regarding recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, promotion and transfer, employee relations, budgetary and staffing needs, and other personnel transactions
Supervision includes hire recommendations; training; work planning, assignments, and review; and performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline

Excellent communication skills

maintain strict confidentiality
a working knowledge of MAGIC-EC, SPAHRS and KRONOS timekeeping
Excellent computer skills
efficient use of MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Must be able to abide by the MS State Personnel Board and MDOC rules, regulations and procedures governing the agency
operate in accordance with state and federal laws
Preferred
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience
