Responsibilities
Evaluate business processes and internal controls to identify risks and improvement opportunities
Support SOX compliance efforts and internal audit activities
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to drive remediation and process improvements
Assist with audit planning, execution, documentation, and reporting
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
3+ years of SOX business process auditing experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels
Self-starter with flexibility and a collaborative team mindset
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with evolving processes
Strong project management and organizational skills
Solid understanding of internal auditing standards, Sarbanes-Oxley, COSO, and risk assessment practices
U.S. citizenship is required
Candidates must currently reside in the Washington, DC metro area
Preferred
1+ year of experience using Workiva Audit Software
accounting or finance preferred
CPA or CIA preferred; active candidates accepted
