Quality Engineer Specialist

Responsibilities
Support mechanical manufacturing and assembly integration and testing for aerospace and defense manufacturing
Perform program quality planning
Analyze program QA requirements
Develop inspection/test procedures and process plans
Finalize source inspection checklist
Coordinate review nonconformance documentation
Support root cause/corrective action
Review AS9102 FAI documentation
Work with DCMA and other government quality assurance agencies
Collection and reporting of Quality Metrics
Review and approve new drawings
Support project managers during design, manufacturing readiness reviews, PDR, CDR, APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA
Conduct supplier surveillance audits
Lead the special inspection processes and team members of Romer, Tracker, and Blue Light inspection processes
Qualification
Required
Candidate must possess a Bachelors Degree with a minimum of (8) years of experience in an ISO9001/AS9100 system or equivalent experience in DOD, Aerospace, or Automotive manufacturing quality control
Candidate must have experience working with non-conforming material, performing failure analysis, identifying root cause and implementing corrective action
Must have experience writing work instructions, procedures, and implementing QMS documentation associated with AS9100
Candidate must be able to review and interpret contract quality clauses and technical data and develop and document appropriate quality verification procedures, plans, and work instructions, including AS9102 First Article Inspection documentation
Experience using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power Bi, & Outlook) is preferred
Must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment
The position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams
Candidate must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
Preferred
Knowledge of Systems Engineering
Advanced experience in GD&T per ASMEY14.5-2009
Experience working knowledge with Assembly integration and testing
Experience working in cross functional teams
Candidates must have 10 or more years' experience using Romer Arm, AS1 Scanner, Leica AT960 Laser Tracker, Leica AT402 Laser Tracker, or CMM Programming
Candidates preferred to have extensive experience with Spatial Analyzer, Solidworks, SurfCam, GibbsCam, PC-DMIS, GDX, Tracker Pilot, or similar PCMM software
