Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to sit at a reputable medical equipment manufacturing company in Odessa, FL. The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for the design and conformance of mechanical medical device equipment and materials, ensuring product safety, quality, and compliance with medical device standards.

Responsibilities

Design and conformance of mechanical medical device equipment and materials
Involved in multiple projects simultaneously, with projects at different stages
Ensuring product is safe, effective, efficient, reliable, and profitable through its intended life
Meet TPH and customer expectation in regard to cost, quality and timelines
Ensure product development is carried out in compliance with medical device quality and safety standards
Support New Product Development and Production projects with oversight by the Project Manager and Lead Engineer
Support any other request from management as it applies to engineering skill set

Required

Commitment to long term contract, working onsite in Odessa, FL
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering field of study
5+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering
5+ years proficiency with Solidworks software, especially with 3D modeling
Experience with sheet metal design
Strong working knowledge with BOM's

Preferred

Experience with castings and injection molding design is a plus
