$25/hr - $25/hrColwen Hotels is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk for The Row at Assembly Row. In this role, you would be primarily responsible for processing accounts payable and assisting the Staff Accountant with various accounting tasks.

Responsibilities
Complete Group invoicing to include prepayments and final billing according to the Colwen Standard Operating Procedure
Maintain Accounts Receivables to under 30 days aging
Complete and reconcile daily cash deposits, going to bank 3 times per week
Reconcile taxes daily and verify all Tax-Exempt postings have proper backup
Code and post all invoices by the weekly deadline in order for them to be in the following Thursday check run
Attend and participate in Weekly Resume Meeting
Follow up on inquiries from the corporate accountant
Post Marriott Rewards Revenue Monthly
Participate in Month-end activities such as Bank Audits, Reconciliation of cash and required reports
Review Credit Limit Report and Guest Ledger Report Daily. Follow up with Front Office to ensure we are collecting Revenue
Complete any other duties assigned by the Assistant General Manager and General Manager
Perform accounting-related duties on a professional level and work closely with the Corporate Accounting, Sales and Hotel team
Qualification
Required
Have an outgoing, welcoming personality that understands the importance of hospitality in dealing with customers as well as staff
Prior experience in the hospitality industry
Understand and use multiple software programs and be able to interpret technical data. Knowledge of Opera a benefit
Work independently and perform a wide range of complex and confidential administrative duties
