The Front-End PFS Manager will collaborate closely between billing and front office staff to ensure training, operational improvements, and enhance workflows.

Responsibilities

Provide training to new hires, volunteers, and existing staff working at the front office
Establish and maintain an action plan to improve the Front Office Training Program
Test trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training
Develop strong relationships with Learning & Development, Operations and Billing departments to improve workflows and receive feedback
Work to bridge the gap between the front office staff and patient financial services. Regularly attend meetings with PFS and work to enhance front desk workflows to ensure Registration accuracy
Work closely with Health Center Managers to ensure monthly ongoing front office trainings are implemented
Monitor the operation of systems to ensure the effective delivery of front office and billing operations
Hold knowledge and act as a resource person for staff regarding policies, procedures, various funding sources, and other matters related to the front office
Understand all payor/program enrollment and eligibility requirements accepted at TrueCare
Participate as an active member of the Billing and Operations Meetings as well as EHR Revenue Cycle and Practice Management Workgroups
Emphasize, demonstrate, promote, and adhere to excellent customer service skills including professionalism, confidentiality, and proper etiquette
Positively impact patient experience by demonstrating values of Transforming Care including, but not limited to, courteous and helpful behavior and a commitment to accuracy
Analyze, monitor, and measure the quality of billing information in accordance with data standards, policies and procedures and implement correction action plans to correct faulty data
Analyze, monitor, and measure the quality of Fact Sheet/Sliding Fee Scale information in accordance with data standards, policies and procedures and implement correction action plans to correct faulty or missing information
Utilize software knowledge, business process knowledge, and standard operating procedures to correctly manage front office workflows
Test new features of EPIC as they are implemented to verify accuracy of front office and billing processes
Coordinate, complete, and update management on project results
Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff, and agency information
Travel to all TrueCare sites to implement trainings, evaluate, or monitor compliance
Function at a high level according to credentials and competency
Contribute to the success of the organization by participating in quality improvement activities

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in business administration, healthcare administration, operations management, health information management, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience in a related field
A minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience
A minimum of three (3) years in healthcare operations, business, or administrative functions
Experience working in a community health center or Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding protocols
Familiarity with medical billing terminology
Knowledge of third-party billing and state and federal collection regulations
Knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations involving major insurance plans, Medicaid, and Medicare
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred

Management experience
Experience in an ambulatory setting with medical billing, and collections
Two (2) years of healthcare project management, medical billing, and/or coding experience
