Veteran Program Business Development Manager

PeopleCare Health Services is focused on enhancing their Veteran programs by fostering relationships with VA-affiliated partners. The Veteran Program Business Development Manager will be responsible for increasing Veteran referrals through outreach and collaboration with internal teams.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and grow relationships with VA Medical Centers, VA social workers, VA case managers, Veteran Service Officers (VSOs), VA Care Coordinators, and Veteran-serving organizations
Serve as a primary liaison for PeopleCare’s Veteran programs within VA and Veteran referral networks
Build and maintain a comprehensive contact list of VA and Veteran-focused referral sources
Drive Veteran referral growth through ongoing relationship management and proactive outreach
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure operational readiness, service capacity, and follow-through on commitments made to referral partners
Act as a communication bridge between VA partners and PeopleCare staff to support timely follow-up, problem-solving, and continuity of care
Track outreach activity, referral sources, and outcomes using approved referral tracking systems
Provide regular reporting on VA engagement, referral trends, and growth opportunities
Maintain working knowledge of VA, state, and federal regulations related to Veteran services
Represent PeopleCare with professionalism, accountability, and mission alignment at all times

Required

Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

Ability to work cross-functionally and independently
Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, outreach, community relations, or healthcare partnerships

Preferred

Experience working with Veterans, VA systems, home care, or healthcare services strongly preferred
