Intern - Electrical Controls Engineer - Whitehall, MI (Summer 2026)
Howmet Aerospace is seeking a highly motivated and energetic student to join their Plant 4 team as an Electrical Controls Engineer Intern. The role primarily involves PLC upgrades, controls/HMI upgrades, and equipment schematic review and deployment.

Qualification
Required
Candidate must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution in one of the following disciplines: Electrical, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Computer
Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution (by May 2026)
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred
HMI programming experience
PLC programming experience
AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical or Solidworks Electrical experience a plus
Relevant internship/work/research experience a plus
