Responsibilities
Planning and implementing consumer protection and other enforcement cases involving communications and energy companies
Plans, organizes, leads and/or independently conducts the more complex investigations of violations of Public Utilities Code
Gathers and analyzes evidence, interviews witnesses, prepares expert testimony and reports, testifies in hearings
Assists attorneys in preparing briefs
Oversees the implementation of Commission decisions
Monitors the business practices of previously-investigated companies
Assigned to informal enforcement actions which will involve preparing discovery, collecting industry data, communicating with industry representatives and individual providers, and negotiating settlement agreements
Qualification
Required
Experience using quantitative skills and/or analytic tools to conduct economic, financial and/or policy analyses and develop conclusions and recommendations
Experience preparing and making presentations in formal hearings or conferences, and demonstrating the ability to explain issues clearly and persuasively
Experience in preparing written documents such as reports, testimonies, resolutions, analysis, white papers, etc
