Responsibilities
Independently support day-to-day lab operations including system setup, teardown, and reconfiguration
Perform platform bring-up activities and assist engineers with validation and debug support
Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems such as Linux, Windows, and VMware
Assemble, disassemble, and maintain servers, desktops, peripherals, and lab equipment
Execute rack setup, structured cabling, labeling, and cable management activities
Collect, analyze, and validate system logs; execute test procedures and sanity checks
Provide first-level troubleshooting for hardware, OS, and connectivity issues
Maintain lab discipline including cleanliness, safety compliance, and ESD adherence
Own inventory tracking, asset labeling, and documentation updates for assigned lab areas
Coordinate closely with engineers, technicians, and lab leads to meet project deliverables
Support audits, lab readiness checks, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of computer hardware platforms and lab environments
Hands-on experience with OS installation, system configuration, and basic troubleshooting
Familiarity with networking concepts such as DHCP, Static IP, and basic connectivity checks
Ability to follow and execute technical procedures with minimal supervision
Strong documentation, communication, and coordination skills
Proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership of lab tasks and issues
Diploma, Associate degree, or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field
3–5 years of experience in lab support, hardware support, or system support roles
