Onboarding & Recruiting Specialist
The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) has been proclaiming the Gospel for over 70 years, and they are seeking an Onboarding and Recruiting Specialist. This role is responsible for administering the onboarding program, ensuring a positive experience for new employees while meeting compliance requirements.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the efficient and effective flow of candidates through the onboarding process
Responsible for keeping Recruiting team updated on progress of onboarding for new employees
Provide thorough and efficient communication between HR and job candidates, hiring departments, and other BGEA staff
Ensure all needed documentation from new employees are completed and uploaded in PeopleSoft correctly
Ensure required pre-employment screening (background, social, drug) and reference checks are completed and evaluated, informing recruiters and the Recruitment Manager of any concerning information
Communicate first day requirements via email to new employees to ensure timely compliance with requirements
Responsible for validating new hire IDs by ensuring that they are compliant with federal guidelines to confirm employment eligibility and process I-9 employment verification by gathering the necessary documentation and inputting identification into the HireRight system and NC Hire
Responsible for entering/processing transactional changes in PeopleSoft including: transitions, organizational changes, compensation changes, terminations, and various other items
Answers telephone inquiries, screens phone calls and responds to requests for information about employment opportunities
Responds and answers any essential technology questions candidates may have in regards to the applicant tracking system and other vendor applications that are a part of the onboarding process
Close out filled/closed job requisitions in all systems - updating applicant records and HR systems accordingly
Responsible for creation and maintenance of accurate job descriptions
Monitor BG Recruitment email and forward to appropriate staff on the HR team or assist with answering emails with guidance from the recruitment team
Occasionally assist recruiters with interviews, specifically during Christmas at the Library
Assist and make recommendations to improve onboarding process for new employees
Assist recruitment team with other special projects
Assist and support the Recruitment Manager with any necessary tasks
Assist with the Candidate Hire Audit
Other duties may be assigned
Qualification
Required
Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ

Participates in daily BGEA staff devotions including Bible reading, and leading group prayer as schedule permits
Demonstrates behavior aligned with BGEA's Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Hallmarks, policies, and expectations
Effectively represents Jesus Christ to those within both personal and professional spheres of influence

Minimum of high school diploma; Associate degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
1-3 years of onboarding and recruiting experience preferred; 1 year of administrative experience strongly preferred
1-3 years of I-9 experience and appropriate management of sensitive information is preferred
Position requires strong commitment to customer service, patience, diligence and keen attention to detail
Must have excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment, oftentimes juggling and resetting priorities based upon urgent workload
Ability to work successfully within a team environment, including accepting and completing tasks assigned while helping others on the team to achieve team performance expectations
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and general office software, and competency to learn other software and applications as needed
Experience using an applicant tracking system and an HRIS preferred, such as PeopleSoft and/or Jobvite
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to maintain professional image and composure under stress
Conventional office environment
Occasional travel required
Preferred
Associate degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
1-3 years of onboarding and recruiting experience preferred
1 year of administrative experience strongly preferred
1-3 years of I-9 experience and appropriate management of sensitive information is preferred
