Responsibilities
Serve as the overall creative and editorial lead for Becoming You with Suzy Welch, ensuring the show’s vision, tone, and storytelling align with the brand’s mission and audience
Own concept development, including season themes, episode structures, formats, and long-term editorial strategy
Shape powerful, original conversations that go beyond surface-level insights and deliver real value to listeners
Lead research, guest selection, and booking strategy, ensuring diverse, high-impact voices aligned with the show’s purpose
Establish and manage production timelines, calendars, and workflows across pre-production, production, and post-production
Manage and provide creative direction to post-production editors, overseeing audio and video editing, sound design, mixing, and final delivery
Review edits and cuts with a strong editorial eye, giving clear, constructive feedback to ensure excellence and consistency
Train and mentor team members in both creative and technical best practices
Work closely with Suzy Welch to refine scripts and elevate performance
Provide coaching and creative guidance to ensure clarity, confidence, and authenticity
Oversee recording sessions, including directing multi-mic setups and ensuring high-quality audio capture
Supervise booking logistics and scheduling
Coordinate all aspects of post-production, including publishing
Lead podcast distribution and collaborate with internal teams on launch and promotional strategy
Identify standout moments for social and short-form content in partnership with the social media team
Track analytics, audience feedback, and performance trends to inform ongoing editorial and growth strategy
Stay current on podcasting trends, tools, and industry best practices to continually evolve the show
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in radio, podcasting, or long-form audio production
Proven experience leading creative projects and managing creative teams, including editors
Strong editorial judgment, storytelling instincts, and demonstrated writing ability
Deep knowledge of podcasting, digital audio, and production workflows
Working understanding of audio hardware, software, and recording environments
Ability to work quickly and thoughtfully under deadline pressure
Excellent communication skills and comfort collaborating with multiple team members
