Responsibilities

Research, interpret, and apply U.S. GAAP to a wide variety of transactions and business initiatives
Prepare clear, well‑structured technical accounting position papers
Lead technical assessments for new or unusual transactions, including consolidation, revenue, lease accounting, and financial instrument matters
Partner cross‑functionally with finance, operations, and executive leadership to ensure accurate and compliant accounting
Support the external audit process and respond to technical inquiries
Evaluate new accounting standards and lead implementation projects
Strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls

Qualification

Required

Strong foundation in U.S. GAAP and technical accounting
Experience drafting technical accounting memos, supporting external audits, and interpreting complex contract language is essential
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to explain complex accounting topics to non‑technical stakeholders
CPA required or actively pursuing

Preferred

Background in financial services (banking, lending, capital markets, asset management, insurance, etc.)
OR public accounting experience with financial services clients
Public accounting background (Big 4 or mid-tier) strongly preferred
Financial services exposure—either industry or client‑facing
