The role involves tutoring, leading activities, and creating a positive learning environment for students.

Responsibilities
Tutoring youth in core academic subjects, completion of daily schoolwork and after-school program lessons
Leading and/or coordinating game time activities for youth
Assisting in other after-school activities
Creating a positive environment that is conducive to learning
Assist with meal preparation for after-school youth attendees
Leading in planning and/or coordinating age-appropriate recreational activities for both indoors and outdoors, weather permitting
Run unpaid vendor list after last check run for each month
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School diploma / GED, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Ability to multi-task and handle multiple job-related assignments
Ability to make decisions within the limits of authority
Ability to provide conflict resolution with youth in a positive, yet effective manner
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint
Willingness to learn new software as needed
Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
Must have and maintain a current valid driver's license and pass the Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR)
Preferred
Some college in a related field preferred
1 years' experience working with youth in a tutoring type of capacity, preferred
