Senior Payments Strategist

Arvest Bank is a financial institution seeking a Senior Payments Strategist to drive project-level initiatives and technology solutions for enterprise payment systems. Responsibilities

Serve as the subject matter expert and strategic influencer with respect to assigned payment rail(s) and/or solutions such as ACH, wires, instant payments, checks, cards, P2P solutions, etc. with technology and shared services
Lead and drive outcomes related to enhanced efficiency of assigned payment rail(s)/solutions, growth of electronic payment volume, and the delivery of value-added payment solutions. Ensure related activities are appropriately prioritized to produce optimal return-on-investment for the bank
Advise and provide insight to leadership and department leaders on policy-level decisions across the enterprise within their respective payment rail(s) or set of solutions
Partner with leadership, strategists, and product managers to understand how best to align bank strategy, industry payment trends, and emerging compliance requirements in a manner that produces optimal outcomes for assigned payment rail(s)/solutions
Provide Principal Operational Strategists, Product, and IT with subject matter expertise to inform and evolve customer journey, experience mapping, and technology solutioning
Collaborate with development teams to deploy solutions that optimize the payment experience of business and consumer customers
Develop documentation throughout the development cycle including service blueprints, value stream maps, process maps, and flows to provide clarity to business analysts in Product
Understand and comply with bank policies, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to job duties. This includes, but is not limited to, completing compliance training, adhering to internal procedures and controls, reporting any known violations of compliance policies, laws, or regulations, and reporting any suspicious customer and/or account activity

Required

7 years of banking, fintech, financial services, or payment processor/network experience required
4 years of strategy, product, and/or analyst experience with electronic payment rails (e.g., ACH, wires, instant payments, cards) and/or solutions (e.g., P2P, push-to-debit, billpay) required
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Google Workspace, and project management software
Demonstrated track record of payment strategy development and execution
Proven ability to create alignment across teams as either a people leader or individual contributor
Light/soft touch experience with technology, including working with IT
Relevant work experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree requirement
Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members
Required: Bachelor's Degree
Incumbents must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
Must be able to start work on time, maintain regular work attendance, be physically present at the assigned work location, and occasionally work overtime or outside of regular business hours
This job typically requires an individual to be able to observe details (including the ability to perceive color and the ability to identify clear near and far objects), to communicate and exchange accurate information
Must be able to operate standard office equipment and use office applications for communication, information and document transmission, and content, document, and report creation
Must be able to operate a passenger vehicle and possess a current, valid driver's license
Ability to travel overnight, unaccompanied, within the United States via automobile and air is required, on occasion

Preferred

Payments certifications such as Accredited ACH Professional or Accredited Faster Payments Professional
Certification in agile methodology, design thinking, or change management
