Quality Assurance Engineer
ID Technology is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their growing organization. In this role, you will develop comprehensive SOPs and establish quality controls across machines, driving consistency and enhancing the Debug QA process.

Responsibilities
Create and roll out SOPs for Assembly/Debug, including version control, training, and audit mechanisms
Define machine checkpoints (in‑process and final) that verify mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical criteria; embed these into build travelers/routers
Create standardized QA artifacts (checklists, acceptance criteria, sampling plans) to drive consistency across product lines
Conduct root‑cause analysis on build issues; implement and preventive actions that reduce rework and debug time
Partner cross‑functionally with Assembly Leads, Debug Technicians, Engineering, and Project Management to align standards with design intent and schedule needs
Establish measurement & reporting, including first‑pass yield, non‑conformance tracking, and audit scores; present trends and actions
Coach and train assemblers/debug techs on QA methods, prints, schematics, and workmanship standards; certify proficiency where required
Continuously improve: drive documentation quality, fixture/tooling for checks, and error‑proofing at critical steps
Qualification
Required

Preferred
Experience with SOP creation, inspection plans, control plans, FAI/in‑process/final inspections
Manufacturing environment experience in complex machinery or automation assembly/debug
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet timelines on deliverables
Strong attention to detail
Mechanical aptitude
CAD design experience
Preferred knowledge of design of packaging and/or automated equipment
Ability to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped spaces
Physical effort that may include the lifting of supplies and materials that weigh up to 20 pounds
