Responsibilities
Set up and execute structural and topology optimization studies, including definition of design space, constraints, objectives, and load cases
Perform subsystem-level and full-vehicle-level optimization focused on stiffness, stress, mass reduction, and performance trade-offs
Interpret optimization results and translate them into practical, manufacturable design recommendations
Apply multi-domain and multi-material optimization strategies to balance NVH, crash, durability, and manufacturing requirements
Utilize CAE tools such as OptiStruct, NASTRAN, HyperWorks, and BetaCAE to support analysis and optimization workflows
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimized designs meet overall vehicle performance targets
Provide CAE-driven design guidance during early concept and development phases
Support automation and efficiency improvements through scripting (Python or TCL preferred)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 4+ years of overall CAE experience, including 1–2 years focused on optimization
Strong fundamentals in finite element analysis (FEA) and structural mechanics
Hands-on experience with CAE optimization tools, including OptiStruct and/or NASTRAN
Familiarity with HyperWorks and BetaCAE environments
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional engineering environment
Performance will be evaluated based on task execution, technical accuracy, and contribution to design outcomes
Preferred
Support automation and efficiency improvements through scripting (Python or TCL preferred)
