Research Coordinator (Population Health & Health Disparities - Galveston)

The role involves coordinating program activities, participant recruitment, data management, and leading lifestyle modification classes.

Responsibilities

Assist in the coordination and monitoring of all program activities
Assist with recruitment of potential participants and coordinate enrollment in classes
Update our program website, and develop promotional material as needed
Performs data management for research findings and program outcomes report
May assist the Principal Investigators with grant proposal preparation and submission, and budget development
May prepare IRB documents under the direction of the Principal Investigators and assist with answering IRB stipulations to obtain final approval
Maintains and monitors source documentation for publications and sponsor requirements
Supports and assists with research collaborators and visitors on various studies and projects
Participates in the presentation of research findings and program outcomes, including reporting to sponsors
Attends and participates in investigator meetings and workshops
Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure
Conduct Chronic Diseases Prevention and Self-Management Program classes, as assigned
Collect and report point-of-care (POCT) blood work, biometrics, and surveys, from Chronic Diseases Prevention and Self-Management Program participants
Record participant data and report outcomes
Performs related duties as required

Master’s degreeLifestyle modification programsAcademic health centersBilingual (English - Spanish)Nutrition degree

Required

Bachelors Degree or equivalent and no experience required

Preferred

Master's degree in public health, healthcare administration or related discipline
Degree in Nutrition
Bilingual (English - Spanish)
Experience in implementing lifestyle modification programs
Experience in working in academic health centers
