Responsibilities
Input attributes and monitor quality
Communicate with Production pertaining to quality issues
Obtain daily samples
Encourage a safe work environment including wearing appropriate PPE
Provide coverage when needed
Willing and able to be cross trained in all areas of Quality Assurance duties
All other tasks as assigned by Quality Assurance Supervisor
Qualification
Required
Must be able to read and write in English
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery. This is normally acquired through two to five years of manufacturing experience in a tannery or a previous Quality Assurance position
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
Availability to work all shifts, flexible hours, flexible days/evenings to include weekends and holidays
Conceptual/Analytical thinking; attention to detail, problem solving
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated and self-starter; Eager and energetic
Maintain confidentiality
Basic computer skills
Understanding of various quality aspects
Able to lift hides up to 100#
Willingness to work and be on-time when scheduled; Exemplary attendance record with previous employer
Must be at least 18 years of age or older
