Locomotive Service Technician - Cherryvale, KS

Responsibilities

Provide a level of customer service consistent with company standards and expectations
Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of gauges, testing instruments, and related diagnostic equipment
Accurately complete all required documentation, including Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) reports related to mechanical job duties
Dismantle and repair mechanical devices using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools to remove, replace, or repair defective parts
Record hour meter readings for inspections and preventive maintenance activities
Inspect locomotives for air, fuel, oil, water, and exhaust leaks; clean and service as necessary

Required

Must possess valid driver's license and be insurable by company insurance provider to drive and operate company vehicles and equipment as necessary
