Responsibilities
Perform specimen receiving for laboratory specimens using LIS and HIS for order accessioning, labeling, delivery, and report preparation
Assist with problem resolution and follow-up with other UH departments and referring physicians
Greet and assist visitors to Pathology
Answer phone calls
Deliver samples to labs for testing
Assist with processing on a rotational basis
Qualification
Required
Associates degree (preferably in a relevant medical field)
Will consider candidates with an equivalent combination of education (to include pertinent college level courses preferably related to a medical field) and experience
Preferred
Prior clinical laboratory experience
NYS license/registration or limited permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician preferred
