Energy Risk Analytics & Reporting Graduate Intern
Seattle City Light, a department of the City of Seattle, is one of the nation’s largest municipally owned utilities. The Energy Risk & Analytics Intern will support the evaluation of counterparty financial statements and assist in credit risk analytics and reporting.

Responsibilities
Assist in annual counterparty credit review by analyzing counterparty financial statements and update Risk’s internal credit limit assessment model
Visualize and analyze trading performance and market information through report and dashboard creation
Explore Energy Trading & Risk Management Systems for ways to streamline various Risk functions
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in an accredited graduate program during their internship
Graduate students will need to maintain a 3.0 GPA or above throughout the internship
Preferred
Enrolled in an academic program with focus on Economics, Finance, Data Science or Statistics
Basic understanding of financial or commodities markets
Elementary or intermediate calculus, statistics, data analytics, etc
Basic office tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc
Knowledge familiarity with SQL, R, Python, Tableau would be a plus
Comfortable working in an open and fast paced yet positive work environment
Friendly and positive attitude
Curiosity to learn new concepts, creative thinker; Not afraid to make mistakes and learn from it
Benefits
Interns do not receive benefits but can obtain a subsidized ORCA pass and accrue sick time that can be used after 90 days of employment.
