Responsibilities
Fully manage a portfolio of 5–8 fund accounts
Maintain and reconcile general ledger (GL) accounts
Prepare and post journal entries using QuickBooks
Oversee cash movements, bank reconciliations, and cash monitoring
Process and record interest and dividend payments
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closes
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Support and coordinate annual audits, including working with external auditors
Prepare and assist with tax filings and coordinate with tax authorities
Serve as a key accounting contact for external stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and tax advisors
Review account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Assist with internal controls, process improvements, and ad hoc accounting projects
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in fund accounting or financial services
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
Hands-on experience with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
Experience using QuickBooks as an accounting system (required)
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Must be able to work on-site in Houston, TX
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and able to commute to Houston, TX
Preferred
Audit and tax-related experience preferred
Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a plus
