Carbide Engineer
Penn United Technologies, Inc. is a leading advanced contract manufacturer seeking a Carbide Engineer to join their team. The role involves providing engineering services to ensure effective transitions from customer specifications to manufacturing, including design and detailing tasks using CAD systems, collaborating with teams, and maintaining engineering documentation.

Responsibilities
Perform engineering, designing and detailing tasks using a CAD system
Work with customers and internal teams on design for manufacturing concepts and detailing for the carbide manufacturing processes
Engineer internal prints and parts according to customer specifications
Design internal part prints from customer designs to optimize machining effectiveness and manufacturing cycle times
Research and problem solve any process and part issues due to internal print designs
Collaborate with all internal teams and customers on improving design, efficiency and productivity to ensure the customers final product and goals are met
Assist with training engineers and internal employees on the carbide engineering process
Work closely with quotations personnel to provide technical assistance
Ensure all engineering documentation for each job is completed and maintained properly
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
Apprenticeship, journeyman's papers or college degree in related field
Solid ability to apply CAD/CAM software to engineering designs
High level of computer, technical, mechanical and mathematical skills
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical processes
Able to work and communicate well with coworkers and customers at a professional level
May be asked to work an adjusted schedule to fulfill customer requirements
Must be a US Person as defined as being either 1) a United States citizen or 2) a lawful permanent resident ('Green Card' or 'Alien Registration Card' holder). US Citizenship or lawful permanent resident status is REQUIRED as per ITAR- International Traffic in Arms Regulations
