Responsibilities
APPLY SYSTEMS ENGINEERING PRINCIPLES ACROSS THE FULL LIFE CYCLE OF MAR SYSTEMS, FROM REQUIREMENTS DEFINITION THROUGH DEVELOPMENT, TEST, FIELDING, AND SUSTAINMENT
TRANSLATE OPERATIONAL AND MISSION NEEDS INTO CLEAR, TRACEABLE SYSTEM, SUBSYSTEM, AND INTERFACE REQUIREMENTS
DEVELOP, REVIEW, AND MANAGE SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS, INTERFACE CONTROL DOCUMENTS (ICDS), AND TECHNICAL BASELINES
PERFORM TRADE STUDIES AND TECHNICAL ANALYSES TO EVALUATE ALTERNATIVE DESIGNS, ARCHITECTURES, AND TECHNOLOGIES
ENSURE REQUIREMENTS TRACEABILITY ACROSS DESIGN, IMPLEMENTATION, INTEGRATION, AND VERIFICATION ACTIVITIES
SUPPORT INTEGRATION OF MULTI-GNSS AND NAVIGATION SUBSYSTEMS INTO DOD FIXED-WING AND ROTARY AIRCRAFT PLATFORMS
SUPPORT SYSTEM INTEGRATION, DEVELOPMENTAL TESTING, AND OPERATIONAL TESTING TO VERIFY AND VALIDATE SYSTEM PERFORMANCE
PARTICIPATE IN TECHNICAL DESIGN REVIEWS, CONFIGURATION AUDITS, AND MILESTONE EVENTS
SUPPORT MODULAR OPEN SYSTEMS APPROACH (MOSA) AND OPEN ARCHITECTURE IMPLEMENTATION TO ENHANCE FLEXIBILITY AND UPGRADEABILITY
PROVIDE SYSTEMS ENGINEERING SUPPORT FOR PNT, NAVWAR COMPLIANCE, GPS SECURITY CERTIFICATION, AIRWORTHINESS, AND CYBERSECURITY REQUIREMENTS
IDENTIFY, ASSESS, AND MITIGATE TECHNICAL RISKS; SUPPORT RISK MANAGEMENT PLANNING AND EXECUTION
COLLABORATE WITH PROGRAM MANAGEMENT, TEST, LOGISTICS, CYBERSECURITY, AND ACQUISITION TEAMS TO ENSURE TECHNICAL ALIGNMENT
SUPPORT DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF SYSTEMS ENGINEERING PLANS (SEP), REQUIREMENTS DOCUMENTS, AND RELATED PROGRAM ARTIFACTS
PROVIDE TECHNICAL INPUT TO ACQUISITION STRATEGIES, SCHEDULES, AND COST ESTIMATES
SUPPORT SUSTAINMENT ENGINEERING ACTIVITIES INCLUDING OBSOLESCENCE MANAGEMENT, TECHNOLOGY REFRESH, AND SYSTEM MODERNIZATION EFFORTS
Qualification
Required
Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field and 10 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in DoD acquisition
Or bachelor's degree in a related field and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in DoD acquisition
OR, 20 YEARS OF DIRECTLY RELATED EXPERIENCE WITH PROPER CERTIFICATIONS AS DESCRIBED IN THE PWS LABOR CATEGORY PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS, EIGHT OF WHICH MUST BE IN DOD ACQUISITION

Must have a minimum of an active U.S. TOP SECRET clearance and be subject to a government security investigation
Driving or renting a car for company business is expected with some frequency. For insurance purposes, a valid driver's license is required
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Position could travel up to 25% of the time out of state and overnight to fulfill contract requirements
