As an Industrial Engineering Intern, you will support the Drill Assembly departments by focusing on continuous improvement and new product development through various operational activities.

Responsibilities
Create/update assembly work instructions
Utilize AutoCAD & SolidWorks composer to improve processes
Support new product development projects (Drills)
Update/Develop routings for assembly process
Pursue process improvement ideas and capture cost savings
Support operations and shop employees (prints, tools, troubleshooting, etc.)
Apply lean Manufacturing principals for continuous improvements
Qualification
Required
Actively pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Industrial Engineering or similar, from an accredited college or university
Sophomore, Junior and rising Senior level student in good academic standing
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team towards a goal
Excellent organization and personal time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Possess effective problem solving and critical thinking skills; ability to be creative and resourceful when needed
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred
Interest in or aptitude to learn new product development
Strong mechanical aptitude
Drafting/Modeling software understanding
Previous classroom and/or work experience in Lean Manufacturing principles
Ability to continue working throughout school year
