Responsibilities
Execute test protocols for clinically based surgical simulation and automated testing using surgical systems and test equipment
Identify and report issues during testing and escalate persistent failure modes to engineering teams
Provide clear and accurate test result documentation to Test Engineers
Perform instrument and accessory cleaning and reprocessing
Support product verification and test process design tasks as assigned
Ensure on-time completion of departmental projects and communicate risks to management
Comply with department procedures and standard operating procedures
Coordinate with the Lab Manager to maintain adequate supplies of test articles and equipment
Qualification
Required
Experience working in a hardware production or test environment
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and interpret specifications and tolerances
Ability to work with biological samples including blood, tissue, and organs
Ability to work varying shifts
High ethical standards and integrity
Experience executing test protocols in a laboratory or production test environment
Experience identifying, reporting, and escalating testing issues
Experience working independently with minimal supervision while managing competing priorities
Basic computer skills and ability to use online documentation
Ability to use basic tools and measuring equipment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to multitask and handle competing priorities
Problem identification and basic process improvement skills
High school diploma or GED
Preferred
Experience working in a medical device company
Medical device reprocessing experience
