Responsibilities

Provides functional HR application systems business analyst support and process improvement analysis for HR/Payroll by identifying, evaluating, and implementing system enhancements and procedures that are cost-effective and meet business requirements. Acts as liaison between HR/Payroll functional users and IT to lead analysis, requirements definition, system testing, implementation and training
Extract and compile information to create and develop reports/queries to client's specifications
Manages the scope and requirements for the implementation of projects to enhance systems capabilities within the HR & Payroll
Assists with resolving questions, assess user needs, and recommends changes mainly in the areas of HR, Payroll, and benefits

Required

Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field or Information Systems and 4-7 years of relevant experience
In lieu of degree, 6-9 years of relevant experience
Minimum 4 years' experience in a functional role supporting Human Resources/ Payroll, or IT experience with a focus on HR, Payroll applications
Minimum 4 years' experience working with HR application systems, with in depth knowledge of end-to-end development of queries and reports
Project management and process improvements experience
Ability to work independently and take leadership role in working with various stakeholders to identify and translate business requirements into functional specifications through hands-on analysis
Strong oral and written communications

Preferred

Minimum 4 years' experience in a functional or technical role supporting Human Resources Payroll function with a focus on Workforce Management, Timekeeping or Payroll Technology (Infor WFM, Workbrain, Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll, Kronos etc) Application management Manage product upgrades and enhancement and defect queue for the application
Work with business partners to prioritize items and schedule items for development and deployment based on capacity etc
System Configuration Lead and review configuration within HR Applications to align with organizational, union, and regulatory requirements
Knowledge of one or more programming languages, e.g. Groovy, Java, SQL , JavaScript, Python, etc
