Responsibilities
Establish and drive clear, effective, and innovative solution designs aligning to The Hartford’s reference architectures, blueprints, and business and IT strategies across our Digital properties, with a focus on AI and strategic thinking
Develop architectural standards and designs for our customer-facing digital properties, incorporating a visionary approach and end-to-end solutioning with a big picture mindset
Align solutions to The Hartford’s reference architectures, blueprints, and business and IT strategies, ensuring they are plug-and-play and leverage APIs, platforms, and products
Ensure alignment with security standards, authentication, and authorization models, while integrating vendor products and services
Provide design supporting the migration of platforms and applications to the cloud, taking advantage of modernization and rationalization opportunities to reduce costs and promote a frugal architecture mindset
Design solutions leveraging SaaS and Native Cloud architectures and services, focusing on rationalizing and modernizing assets
Develop designs and integrations spanning both Mobile and Responsive Web, ensuring they are consumable across all roles
Participate with agile teams to ensure architecture standards are being maintained, promoting a platform and products approach
Frequently interact with peers and senior leaders as part of a cross-functional team, influencing business leaders and shaping business vision
Work within a matrixed environment, expanding knowledge of The Hartford’s lines of business and digital portfolio
Emphasize cost-conscious architecture and frugal architecture principles, ensuring that solutions are designed to be cost-effective and efficient
Foster a mindset of building platforms and products that prioritize speed to market and lower maintenance costs
Qualification
Required
5-8 years of hands on Solution Architecture experience in an enterprise environment
Experience with multi-cloud environments and AI technologies, demonstrating the ability to design and implement solutions that leverage these technologies to drive business value and innovation
Experience developing or designing single-page applications utilizing contemporary frameworks such as Angular/React
Experience designing and implementing cloud-based solutions utilizing Microservices or API-based integrations with a clear understanding of JSON, REST, and HTTP standards
Clear understanding of cloud, hybrid cloud, and container deployment architectures including building cloud-ready applications and container orchestration systems
Experience with Micro Frontends (MFEs), demonstrating the ability to design and implement modular and scalable front-end architectures
Experience of working with agile development teams
Bachelor's degree with hands-on experience in designing and implementing robust enterprise-level digital and web solutions with a broad understanding of traditional and modern software technology frameworks, platforms, vendor software solutions, development tools, and processes
Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skills with the ability to effectively communicate solution recommendations and influence key stakeholders
Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
Preferred
Cloud certifications and architecture certifications are a plus
