Program Administrator - Tisch College

Responsibilities
In collaboration with student program Director and Sr. Managers, and in alignment with the Tisch College North Star - building robust, inclusive democracy for an increasingly multiracial society - support development of program strategy, goals, and content including planning and implementing curriculum for a specific subset of student programs and affiliated clubs/organizations
Oversee Tisch-affiliated student organizations and work closely with the Initiative for Global Leadership (IGL) colleagues in developing guidelines and procedures, events and workshops/training to support students from all student groups in developing their leadership and civic engagement and Tisch affiliation
Working with IGL, develop training and other programming to help develop a Tisch alumni community
Develop and implement the 2-week high school Leadership for Social Change summer program, including admissions, grant and philanthropy support, hiring and training student workers, planning program schedules and recruiting faculty, creating syllabi, serving as the staff lead for program implementation and troubleshooting, and working closely with colleagues at University College
Manage the Tisch College Fund for Civic Engagement, including outreach and marketing, committee oversight and interview scheduling, and communications
Hire, train, and supervise student staff including peer leaders and teaching assistants, etc. for a subset of specific programs and student clubs/organizations
Serve as advisor and resource for students offering one-on-one and group mentorship to support their success in Tisch College programs
Develop and implement orientation, workshops, visits to program partner organizations off-campus, lectures, closing, presentations, and other events for student programs including during the academic year, summer, and student breaks (winter, spring)
Collaborate with and serve as a liaison between Tisch College student programs team and campus partners relevant to distinct programs and student clubs; this includes University College, Office of Campus Life, Office of Community Relations, and more
Support other Tisch Student Programs, as needed
With the Associate Director of Research and Development for Tisch College, implement and support program evaluation and assessment, suggesting program or curricular revisions based on findings
Support program admissions and recruitment for select opportunities, including communications, information sessions, application review and selection
Participate in development and monitoring of budgets for subset of student programs and affiliated clubs/organizations; this includes: + supporting the Sr. Program Manager in preparing reports and projections. + collaboration with university/Tisch College advancement to support donor stewardship
Collaborate with the programs team on the development of new student programs in line with the mission and vision of Tisch College and Tufts University
Support the Tisch College community partnerships team and student programs leadership in outreach to program partners including participating in community events, attending site visits, and inviting partners to speak to students and staff on campus as relevant
Attend team meetings, all-Tisch staff meetings, and other regular programming including events sponsored by the Tisch College DEIJ committee
Participate in relevant committees, workshops, and trainings at Tisch and across Tufts to develop professional competencies and explore content of interest
Qualification
Required
Knowledge and skills as typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience or Associates degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience
Employment experience in program development and administration
Experience working with high school and/or college students
Formal student mentoring support experience
Strong organization and creative problem-solving skills
Preferred
Experience with student programing
