Remote Human Resources Intern
Thaddeus Resource Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering girls and women through various supportive services. The Human Resources internship will provide hands-on experience in HR functions such as interviewing, onboarding, and talent management under the guidance of HR Managers.

Responsibilities
Perform a variety of general administrative tasks (manage email and phone correspondence, maintain employee records, etc.)
Create job descriptions and manage online postings
Conduct phone interviews & 1st interviews as needed and maintain excellent communication with our candidates
Stay organized and keep HR Manager updated on assigned candidates as they go through the interview process
Handle updating staff contact list, tracking and helping prepare various documents, sending out various required employee documents and making sure they are filed within the correct staff personnel folder
Assist the HR Manager with reference checks ensuring that the checks are completed in a timely manner
Ensure employee engagement and satisfaction (staff birthdays, employee of the month, weekly staff meeting activities, etc.)
Assist the President and HR Managers with processing of terminations
Prepare rejection and acknowledgement letters, certificates of completion, etc
Maintain connections/partnerships with universities (representatives) and their career centers
Mentor and develop all organization personnel for career progression and learning
Establish training strategies and track progress of all staff
Assist in content writing for organization-wide marketing strategy for recruitment and community engagement purposes
Work closely with the Operations department and assist in the strategic planning process
Participate in our Buddy system once assimilated and act as a mentor/point of contact for new interns transitioning into your team during their induction and onboarding process
Perform other assigned duties as needed
Qualification
Required
Strong technical and organizational skills in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills, in a professional environment
A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality
Excellent multi-tasking, time management, interpersonal communication, and business writing skills
Ability to work independently with and a strong attention to details
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Interns must have the appropriate technology, internet connection and ability to function in a virtual capacity via Microsoft Teams
Preferred
Previous administrative and/or HR experience
Comfortable working with data and spreadsheets
Social media management experience (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.)
Proficiency in Microsoft Teams and OneNote, and Adobe Creative Suite (especially Adobe Acrobat DC)
Prior experience working with non-profits
