Responsibilities
Supports the mission of The Medical Center of Aurora/Centennial Medical Plaza of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person
Focuses on the information systems processes for the clinical information system in Surgical Services
Coordinates and executes changes to the clinical information system
Interfaces with operations and education personnel to assess systems needs and communicates those needs to appropriate information personnel for resolution and improvements
Works closely with the Material Specialist to insure charges are accurate
May rotate to functions in the Operation Room and will perform those duties, for which he/she has demonstrated competency
Performs delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care at TMCA
Qualification
Required
Good organizational skills and ability to work independently
Familiar with clinical information systems
Thorough knowledge of surgical procedures and implants
Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills
Appropriate judgment and problem solving skills (critical thinking)
Positive and professional communication skills
Preferred
Experience in a health care setting
Knowledge of purchasing systems
