Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and analyze standard costs, including material, labor, and overhead

Oversee inventory valuation and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies

Analyze cost variances and provide explanations and actionable insights to management

Lead month-end and year-end cost accounting close processes

Prepare and review cost-related journal entries, reconciliations, and reports

Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to improve cost efficiency and margin performance

Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning related to manufacturing or operational costs

Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and internal controls

Manage and mentor cost accounting staff

Support audits by providing documentation and explanations related to cost accounting

Identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements
