Team Leader - Sub Assembly (2nd Shift)

Heartland Automotive LLC is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join their manufacturing team as an Entry-Level Team Leader. The successful candidate will oversee a group of production associates, ensuring efficient and safe operation of the manufacturing process while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of production associates to achieve daily production targets
Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
Monitor and enforce quality control measures to ensure products meet established standards
Collaborate with quality control personnel to address and resolve any issues related to product quality
Implement and enforce safety procedures to ensure a secure working environment for all team members
Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety awareness
Collaborate with the production planning team to schedule and prioritize production orders
Monitor and report on production progress, identifying and addressing any potential constraints
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement
Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives
Train new team members in manufacturing processes, equipment operation and safety protocols
Foster a learning culture by providing ongoing training and development opportunities to team members

Required

Highschool Diploma or equivalent
1-2 years supervisory/leadership experience
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
Exhibits strong cross-cultural communication skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders across various organizational levels, departments, and cultural backgrounds
Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft office suite
Knowledge of Pareto charts
Ability to read, analyze information, write reports, and work instructions
Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts
Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions
Awareness of potential work and environmental hazards
Compliance with PPE (personal protective equipment) requirements according to SWI (standard work instructions)
Regular use of hands, standing for extended periods up to entire shift, sitting, and lifting to 80 pounds

Preferred

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
