As an Unclaimed Property Associate, you will assist clients with their state unclaimed property reporting requirements and related consulting needs, applying your accounting and communication skills to deliver advisory and compliance services.

Responsibilities
Organization and management of client data and documents
Detailed reviews of client records (e.g., accounting documents, procedures, etc.) to identify areas of potential unclaimed property noncompliance
Interviews of client accounting and operational personnel
Identification of client’s potential unclaimed property exposure:
Development of strategic plans to limit client’s potential exposure
Presentation of suggestions to clients to reduce potential exposure
Creation of models to calculate potential exposure
Assistance with the management of clients’ state unclaimed property audits and voluntary disclosure agreements
Support for drafting technical written memorandums
Interaction with clients, outside legal counsel, and state unclaimed property representatives
Preparation and filing of annual unclaimed property reports to multiple jurisdictions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or law, or a related degree in business
Outstanding academic performance required, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
Relevant internship, work experience and/or involvement with a professional organization
The ability to work effectively in a team environment with all levels of client personnel
Demonstrated skills in the areas of time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem solving
Organizational and analytical skills, initiative, adaptability
Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Unclaimed Property experience is NOT required
