Responsibilities
Recognizes problems and alarms on all computerized monitoring systems such as fire alarm, chiller, HVAC, elevators, translogic tube, steam, security camera, access control and electrical generators, and responds appropriately
Serves as a point of contact for security and maintenance requests by obtaining necessary information from requesting department/person and dispatches the appropriate person (Security Guard, Maintenance Tech, Biomed Tech, Information Systems Tech, etc.) to handle the situation. Documents the request and actions taken
Receives customers, answers phones in a professional manner, schedules meetings and logs vendors and contractors for the safety and security of the building
Starts and stops the chiller system, back-washes filters, assists with chemical system, and monitors the chilled water and cooling tower system
Ensures that all incoming work order requests are entered into the computer system and prioritized. Closes out completed work orders
Monitors weather problems or threats locally and nationally and ensures that the Safety and Security and Maintenance Managers are notified
Ensures internal procedures are kept up-to-date and communicated to appropriate staff
Works closely with the Maintenance Supervisor in making adjustments to our heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to ensure effective communication in the workplace and with patients, families, and team members
