Responsibilities
Support hazard vulnerability and risk assessment analysis for hazard mitigation, resilience and disaster recovery plans
Lead and support innovative data analysis and communication via Storymaps, dashboards, website integration for stakeholder communication and outreach
Support and coordinate risk assessment, hazard mitigation and disaster recovery planning
Support client and stakeholder workshops
Provide task leadership to deliver Resilience Planning solutions/studies/projects
Support engagement with new and existing clients to develop new business
Qualification
Required
Bachelor degree in engineering or professional degree in Sciences in area of expertise preferred with specialized training, or experience that uniquely qualifies the individual to perform the job responsibilities
A minimum total of 1 year of related work experience. Graduate work may count as related work experience if directly applicable to job function
All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations
Preferred
4+ years of GIS analysis and data visualization experience
Experience related to hazard mitigation, resilience, disaster preparedness & recovery, coastal and sea level rise impacts
Experience with Federal approaches and tools to assess risks and provide hazard mitigation (i.e. FEMA HAZUS) climate adaptation, disaster recovery, and resilience strategic planning and implementation
