Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join their team, providing support to Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. The Human Resources Technician is responsible for various HR functions, including recruitment, employee benefits administration, and providing assistance in employee-related matters while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities
Developing job vacancy announcements
Attending recruiting and other events
Reviewing job applications
Determining eligibility or evaluating the applicant’s qualifications according to established policies and procedures
Providing assistance in administering the employee benefits program
Processing and maintaining accurate and detailed records necessary to implement and track employee and benefit related matters
Maintaining a high degree of contact with employees and supervisors
Providing advice and assistance regarding policies, procedures, employee benefits and compensation, and other employee programs
Conducting research and explaining complicated employee benefit related issues
Conducting new hire orientation classes, briefings, and various seminars
Providing World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy
Assisting customers and communicating positively in a friendly manner
Acknowledging customers, smiling and making eye contact
Asking questions to determine, verify and solve problems
Checking for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services
Taking action to solve problems quickly
Alerting the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise
Adhering to safety regulations and standards
Using required safety equipment and observing safe work procedures
Promptly reporting any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor
Adhering to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment
Performing other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must have at least three years of HR generalist experience in multiple functional areas such as talent acquisition, benefits administration, data entry, and new hire orientation
Knowledge of employment law and HRIS database maintenance
Must have the ability to plan, organize, and complete complex personnel operations
Must possess excellent customer service and computer skills
Must be able to work in a fast pace demanding work environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple tasks, and the flexibility to adapt with changing requirements
Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required
Position may require occasional evening and weekend work
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business management, or closely related field highly preferred
