Responsibilities
Accepted students will enroll in a prep class in Spring 2026 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00pm-4:00pm. This immersive course, developed in collaboration with Ellucian, offers students the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a multidisciplinary software development team. Participants will work alongside software developers, AI/ML specialists, UX designers, product managers, ethicists, and storytellers to create innovative solutions to real-world challenges
The program culminates in a full-time, 12-week paid summer internship at Ellucian's Reston, VA office, providing students with invaluable industry exposure and professional development opportunities. Students will be responsible for creating a live product, defined by Ellucian, and pitching it to senior leadership at the end of the internship

Qualification
Required
Current NCA&T freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors
Students who will embrace belonging to a team, are eager to learn how to problem-solve using design thinking, wish to strengthen their communication and critical thinking skills
Preferred
Preferred areas of study: computer science, business, humanities, strong focus on AI, statistics, UX/UI, design thinking, cognitive psychology, marketing, communication, English, ethics, philosophy, law, graphic design, data science
